Module 1: Disability Awareness and Confidence Training (DACT) for General Learning
This general learning module is designed to increase your comfort, confidence, and competence in disability awareness.
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Understand what disability looks like in Canada
- Dispel myths that create biases and barriers for people who have a disability
- Understand how businesses benefit from creating an inclusive workforce
- Use ATP (Ask the Person) when working with people who have a disability
Audience:
This training is appropriate for anyone in the workforce.
Length:
Approximately 30 mins.

A certificate will be available after you successfully complete the course and the evaluation.

Module 2: Disability Awareness and Confidence Training for Staff and Coworkers
The goal of this learning module is to increase your awareness and confidence to work with coworkers who have a disability. By the end of this module, you will gain knowledge on:
- What does disability look like in Canada – the facts
- Dispelling myths that create biases and barriers
- Case studies of businesses that have benefitted by creating an inclusive workforce
- Ways to have inclusive interactions in the workplace
Audience:
This training is appropriate for all employees who wish to increase their awareness and confidence when working with coworkers who have a disability and contribute to creating an inclusive work environment.
Length:
Approximately 30 mins.
Certificate:
A certificate will be available after you successfully complete the course and the evaluation.

Module 3: Disability Awareness and Confidence Training for Managers and Supervisors
The goal of this learning module is to increase your awareness and confidence to work with team members who have a disability. By the end of this module, you will gain knowledge on:
- What does disability look like in Canada – the facts
- Dispelling myths that create biases and barriers
- Case studies of businesses benefitting from creating an inclusive workforce
- Considerations for successful implementation – avoiding management pitfalls
Audience:
This training is appropriate for managers and supervisors who wish to increase their awareness and confidence to support team members who have a disability and prepare their teams to onboard new employees who have a disability with confidence.
Length:
Approximately 30 mins.

Module 4: Disability Awareness and Confidence Training for Human Resource Teams
This online learning module will assist human resource professionals with creating an informed, disability inclusive environment. By the end of this module, you will gain knowledge on:
- What does disability look like in Canada – the facts
- Dispelling myths that create biases and barriers
- In depth case studies of businesses with an inclusive workforce
- Tips on how to create and engage a diverse workforce in your business
Audience:
This training is appropriate for human resource professionals and teams who wish to increase their awareness and confidence in supporting applicants, as well as new and current employees who have a disability, to create a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Length:
Approximately 30 minutes.

Module 5: Disability Awareness and Confidence Training for Executive Leadership
This learning module will provide executive leadership with an increased awareness and confidence to create a disability inclusive workforce. By the end of this module, you will gain knowledge on:
- What does disability look like in Canada – the facts
- Dispelling myths that create biases and barriers
- In depth case studies of businesses with an inclusive workforce
- How to foster a culture of inclusion and diversity across your organization
- How to support or encourage Employee Resource Groups
Audience:
This training is appropriate for executive leaders who want to create a welcoming inclusive environment that ensures everyone’s success; including employees who have a disability.
Length:
