Future-proofing Youth with Disabilities for the Changing Labour Market 

This study systematically examines the future of work as it relates to young people with disabilities, with the aim of anticipating the work and labour market changes that will affect their inclusion and success in the future of work. Findings can help inform the design of future-proofed policies and programs for young people with disabilities that can be implemented in the present to address the anticipated shocks and stresses of the future of work.

Operation Come Home

Operation Come Home assists youth experiencing homelessness to achieve their goals, and avoid the experience of homelessness as an adult. They offer Employment, Education, Housing, Mental Health, Harm Reduction, and Drop In programs for at-risk youth aged 16-29. The programs focus on what works and what matters to youth, as well as encourage the personal growth of everyone as an individual.

PATH Employment Services

PATH Employment Services serves Hamilton and the surrounding area, helping people with disabilities and other barriers to prepare for, find, and maintain meaningful employment. They work in partnership with job seekers and employers to build inclusive workplaces and create lasting opportunities. PATH also offers the 360 [4] Youth Program, which provides youth aged 15–30 with 8 weeks of training in digital and social media skills, communication, time management, job search strategies, and certifications such as Smart Serve, WHMIS, and AODA, followed by a 12-week subsidized and supported work placement.
